The name of Item[1] | Our PVD Coating “Standard Type” suitable for Cutting Tools, Molds, and Machine Parts. |
Details[1] |
1. Industry-standard arc ion plating with 20 years of experience in various applications. 2. Accommodates large workpieces, short delivery times. - With one of the largest arc ion plating systems in the country, we can accommodate coating processes for large workpieces up to φ750×900mm / 360kg. 3. A lineup of five film types of Ti-based and Cr-based coatings. - Our basic TiN, low-friction TiCN, and heat/wear-resistant TiAlN coatings have a proven track record in a wide range of applications. - CrN has low affinity with resin and copper, making it ideal for preventing adhesion. - Acro, primarily composed of AlCrN, achieves the highest heat resistance temperature of 1000℃ in PVD coatings. Lineup: TiN、TiCN、TiAlN、CrN、Acro |
The name of Item[2] | Deep Hole Inner Surface PVD Coating 'Deep Hole Type' |
Details[2] |
Maintaining the benefits of PVD coating that can be processed at temperatures below 500℃, we have enabled the creation of ceramic protective films on the inner surfaces of deep holes. This significantly extends the lifespan of deep hole dies and deep hole components where inner surface wear progresses. Achieving PVD Coating for Inner Surfaces of Deep Holes - We can create a hard ceramic protective film (such as TiN or TiAlN) on the inner surface of deep holes with an L/D ratio of approximately 5, which is difficult with general PVD coating. - Even on the inner surfaces of deep holes, it demonstrates high hardness and excellent adhesion comparable to general ceramic protective films. - Significantly extended lifespan can be expected for molds that form on the inner surfaces of deep holes and machine parts that slide on the inner surfaces of deep holes. Lineup: diXis-TiN、diXis-TiCN、diXis-TiAlN、diXis-CrN、diXis-Acro |
The name of Item[3] | PVD Coating for Die Casting Molds “Thick Film Type” |
Details[3] |
1. Specialized in die casting molds - Die-casting dies are subject to specific types of damage (heat checking, erosion and seizure). - We offer four types of thick-film coatings tailored to different damage forms, cost, and delivery schedules. 2. Nitriding + thick film of 9μm - With 9 μm thick coating which is three times thicker than the conventional coating, it prevents molten aluminum from entering the mold substrate and suppresses the occurrence of melting damage. - By combining nitriding and coating processes for the substrate, erosion resistance can be further enhanced.(ViOLA-R / Acro9-R) Lineup: - Enphasis on erosion resistance: ViOLA, ViOLA-R - Emphasis on seizure resistance: Acro9, Acro9P |
The name of Item[4] | DLC coating achieves overwhelmingly low friction characteristics |
Details[4] |
1. Diamond-Like Carbon - Due to the structure is similar to diamond, hardness is its main feature - Compare to very expensive diamonds, it can be produced on a variety of material surfaces at lower cost. - It has an overwhelmingly low coefficient of friction compared to metallic materials. - Even in a dry process, it has the same friction coefficient as oil lubrication. - Can suppress adhesion of soft metals (aluminum alloys, etc.). 2. Strongly adheres to substrate - By generating an adhesion layer between the DLC layer and the substrate, it exhibits excellent adhesion (DLC-i is DLC layer only). - Even in a high load atmosphere, which is not good for general DLC, the original low friction characteristics of DLC can be demonstrated. Lineup: DLC、DLC-i |
The name of Item[5] | High-Performance PVD Coating “Smooth Type” with Suppressed Surface Roughness Formation |
Details[5] |
1. Unique smooth coating technology - For typical PVD coatings, microscopic irregularities are formed on the surface. - We have developed our own PVD technology to provide smooth coatings. 2. No galling, no adhesion - In cold molding with soft materials may cause "galling" in which the molding material adheres to the mold surface. - Uneven coating surfaces tend to retain molding material, but smooth coated surfaces prevent molding material from staying on the surface and allow it to slide smoothly. - The smooth type has a film composition with excellent mold releasability. - Our FINE series is effective for various mold galling countermeasures. Lineup: Fine FT、Fine FG、Fine FC、Smooth MX、Smooth CX、Smooth CX-R |
The name of Item[6] | Nitriding |
Details[6] |
We have expanded our capabilities with Ion Nitriding equipment and Radical Nitriding equipment manufactured by NDK inc., and our in-house Nitriding equipment (PRIZE) to accommodate various nitriding processes tailored to specific applications. Key features: 1. Enhance mold lifespan through surface hardening. 2. Enhance the durability and wear resistance of molds and mechanical parts. Lineup: 1. Ion Nitriding: We have four Ion Nitriding Equipments manufactured by NKD inc., capable of handling long-length items and heavy objects. 2. Radical Nitriding: Radical nitriding minimizes the formation of a compound layer, allowing for combined treatments such as PVD coating after nitriding. 3. Plasma deep nitriding PRIZE120: This is a next-generation plasma deep nitriding process that achieves deep nitriding depth and high surface hardness while suppressing the formation of a brittle compound layer. |
