PR message | Deutsche Edelstahlwerke facilitates social trends with high quality special steels-from four production sites in Germany-for more than 160 years. This experience, together with modern production facilities and highly trained staff, is the foundation on which the high quality of our products is based |
The Main Item | High pressure casting 1,2343/1,2344 ESU, Hot stamping,press hardening 1.2990/ 1.2383 / E40K Others |
The name of Item[1] | HPDC High pressure casting Thermodur 1.2343/1.2344 ESU |
Details[1] | The hot work steels from Deutsche Edelstahlwerke are characterised by an extremely long service life and can be individually and optimally matched to the widest variety of demands on the respective tool or the processing method. Thanks to use of the latest technology, hot work steels from Deutsche Edelstahlwerke meet the toughest requirements in terms of: Resistance to tempering Resistance to thermal shocks High-temperature strength High-temperature toughness High-temperature wear resistance Resistance to erosion, High-temperature corrosion and Oxidation Machinability Low tendency to stick |
The name of Item[2] | Hot stamping, Press hardening(1.2990/1.2383/E40K) |
Details[2] | Press hardening or hot stamping is an innovative hot forming process for producing extremely high-strength vehicle bodywork components. The sheet metal component is hot-formed and heat treated in a single combined process step. Sheets heated to austenitizing temperature are placed into a cooled press tool and quenched during forming. The thermal conductivity of the tool steel used for forming and hardening the sheets is of crucial importance to the clock rate, and therefore cost-effectiveness, when press hardening. Deutsche Edelstahlwerke developed thel special tool steel for this appliation. |
The name of Item[3] | Automotive in terms of high gloss polishing (headlights / interior surfaces) PH42 / PHX |
Details[3] | Plastic mould manufacturing's gem The current tendency in plastic mould manufactuuring is to incorporate two mould features - corrosion resstance and very best in polishability. The advantage of moulds of this nature is their ablity to withstand condensation and cooling water. They are also resistant to plastic such as PVC or aminoplasts - materials which usually corrode tool steels through the separation of acids during processing. The other even more significant key feature, especially when viewed from a standpoint of shortened prodution times, is exceptionl polishability. Deutsche Edelstalhlwerke's tool specialists answer to this challenge was the development or precipitation hardenable high performance steel, PH42 / PHX. |
The name of Item[4] | Extrusion |
Details[4] | During extrusion, the die’s dimensional stability and shape retention are essential for the production of precision profiles of consistently high quality. Excellent high-temperature wear resistance and strength are therefore the most important properties the tool steels have to fulfill. The hot-work tool steels from the Thermodur® EFS and Superclean range offered by Deutsche Edelstahlwerke meet all of those demands, thus ensuring significantly increased service lives and dimensional stability. |
The name of Item[5] | Forging |
Details[5] | Deutsche Edelstahlwerke offers a select range of tempered and annealed steels for forging tools. The steels exhibit good toughness and hardness as well as the hightemperature wear resistance and thermal conductivity required for each of the applications and forging methods. In addition to our standard steels Thermodur® 2343 EFS and Thermodur® 2344 EFS, we have highlighted the following high-performance steel grades as the most representative of our range of products: Thermodur® 2365 EFS Thermodur® 2714 Thermodur® 2999 EFS |
